It’s all about MEMS
In 2018, a group of Swedish MEMS industry experts, academic researchers and serial entrepreneurs identified great commercial opportunities in using air-displacing technology based on PZT MEMS, and founded Myvox to explore the possibilities of using this novel material. In the early days, Myvox researched and developed applications in haptics, acoustic levitation and directional sound, patented applications ready to be commercialized at a later stage when the markets for these somewhat futuristic applications mature. Since 2022, Myvox has refined the core technology stack and solely focused on developing applications in two arising commercial high-growth segments: microfans and microspeakers. With performance-leading technology, a high-caliber team and a volume-production partnership with world-leading foundry Silex Microsystems in place, Myvox has now entered full-fledged commercialization mode. True to its air-displacing heritage, Myvox’ ambition is now to take the AI device and earbud worlds by storm.
